Year 2 - Foxes

PE
Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday.
Tuesday is indoor PE and Thursday is outdoor PE. If there is bad weather we will have PE indoors instead.
Children need to come in dressed in their PE kits for both days.
PE kit
Navy shorts or joggers.
White or blue t-shirt (No football shirts).
Plimsols or trainers.
Dark coloured plain tracksuit can be worn during cold weather.
Long hair must be tied back and jewellery must be removed.
Music
Our music lesson will take place on Monday afternoon.
Equipment
The children do not need to bring any stationery or similar equipment into school, as all of the required items are provided in class. However, the children can bring in a small pencil case with colouring pens/pencils in if they wish to, but this must be stored in their bags or lockers until needed.
We also kindly ask that children do not come into school with any toys or similar, unless this has been specifically agreed in advance with a member of staff.
Water bottles are permitted to be kept in a designated space just outside the classroom, where children can easily access as needed.
Home Learning
Homework will be set every Wednesday, to be returned on a Monday.
They will receive a double sided sheet with maths and spelling work.
Reading journals will be checked every Thursday and either colour band books or ebooks via the Collins website will be set.
Library books and colour band books (if they receive these) need to be returned every Thursday to receive new books.
Sora can also be accessed at home with a great variety of materials to read.
Educational Visits
We have wonderful trips in Year 2, starting with Manor Farm in the Autumn term. More information will be emailed to you nearer the time!
